Our very first Hacienda has a special sentimental value to us. It was an experiment and a risky bet for a time when no one believed in our vision, except us.
We heard it all... "A neighborhood café with no TV?", "Where’s the Coca Cola and frappes?" but we chose to ignore the comments and held our vision strong. We weren’t arrogant, we just wanted to create a café that had a different essence-that offered artisanal & local products and encouraged genuine connection.
We believed that sooner or later the people would recognize our vision and embrace a new type of coffee culture. Slowly, our café experiment was embraced, and this became to birth of Hacienda.
